So.
I've been sick.
Again.
So it goes.
Those of you who read my facebook know this much already, so here's a bit more info.
Thursday I couldn't breathe, kept coughing myself into asthma attacks, and assumed I was on day 1 of bronchitis. I went to the health center on campus and the doctor told me I was having an asthma flare, which I'd never heard of. She gave me a nebulizer treatment, which did help some.
Friday, I went back to the health center for another neb treatment. The new doctor told me I was probably developing a cold, so I could take a decongestant. She was nice enough to give me a prescription for cough suppressant, so didn't keep coughing myself into asthma attacks, which made the neb treatment actually beneficial.
Saturday, I woke up feeling like crap. I finally called my dad and asked him to take me to a walk in clinic. I was still coughing on this day, but not wheezing. It was a productive kind of cough as opposed to the wheezing cough of the two days prior. I had a fever of 100 degrees, was lightheaded, and had intense pressure in my head.
SO. Sinus infection it is. As it seems that every ailment turns into a sinus infection for me.
I love amoxicillin. Slept a lot during the rest of Saturday, then lounged Sunday. Now, I still feel crappy but I can tell I'm getting better.
Now I just have to hope I'm well enough tomorrow to start dancing again. I'm in enough trouble as it is for having missed Thursday. At least I have a note for that one.
And now, I need a quote. hmmmm....
Ah. I'm gonna roll with this one; it makes me feel better.
'Tis healthy to be sick sometimes.

URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE
* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...9 TO 16 INCHES OF NEW SNOW WITH THE HIGHEST TOTALS FROM MILWAUKEE SOUTH TO KENOSHA. * WINDS...NORTHEAST WINDS 25 TO 35 MPH WITH WIND GUSTS TO 50 MPH FOR TONIGHT.
Blizzard warnings, yay!
So...since I work in a special kind of department on campus, I still have to be here even if there is a snow day. We're all thinking there might be a snow day tomorrow. I hear Kansas has one today. I was all sorts of set to give you a big update, but now I lack the energy. I'm supposed to go out to dinner with a friend tonight, but I have to keep track of the weather. Driving my little car in the snow isn't terribly fun. Nor is walking a block and a half from my parking lot to my apartment. Silly business. I might leave today after dance class rather than staying til 630. I hate to skip a class, but I believe safety is more important. I know I can drive in crappy weather, but I have zero faith in anyone else on the roads. The people here are so cocky about the fact that they're from here; they think they can just drive through the snow like the roads are clean and dry.
Meh. Excited to dance, though. I'm looking forward to that sore feeling following an hour of dancing. Also looking forward to developing coordination. :) Sorry for the lame update. Is there not glory enough in living the days given to us? You should know there is adventure in simply being among those we love and the things we love, and beauty, too. Lloyd Alexander
