OOOOOOOkay.
It has been a very long time. I failed at keeping my promise of regularly updating. I have no excuses. :)
So I'll give you a very short recap of the last semester. I took three classes: American Sign Language III, Deaf Culture, and African Dance. I got an A in both ASL III and Deaf Culture, and I got a B+ in African Dance.
I had a lot of fun this semester. I was working 5 days per week (same job for UWM), and sometimes filling in on the weekends. During the summer (starting this last week) I will be working only M-W. Therefore, I am looking for a second job for summer, at least. If it works out that I can keep the job when the fall semester begins, then I might choose to do so. However, I am taking 17 credits in the fall, so I might want to keep the working hours to a minimum.
I am trying to schedule my time to go home to KS. Pending assistance from my coworkers (covering my shifts) I very well might be heading south June 15th. If this does go through, then I will stay until June 26th. As of yet. none of my coworkers have responded to be able to help me on the days I plan to be gone. If I cannot get these days covered, then I will not be able to come to Kansas until the end of July, and for a shorter time period. So, here's hoping.
I really feel like I am getting settled up here. I am meeting new people, making new friends, and really beginning to learn the city and be a part of it.
Today, I am working twelve hours. Alone.
I am BORED.
I've only been here for two and a half hours. I brought a lot to do, though. I have two movies, two books, and my beads and stretch cord so I can make myself some bracelets. Also, there is internet here, as you may have noticed. :)
